WALKING AROUND II - Dusk and Night
THE ONLY GIFT
Now that the rocks are warm again
And sunset touches dawn beneath my window
My wings are made of unfading petals
And the dust is covered with velvet grass
I remember I’ve been always here
I remember the whole geography of the world
Invisible map under my skin.
While I sit on this tree branch
The scent of life comes to dance in my hair
Until I’m the growing tree
And the bird singing
Life walks my way along this endless road
Endless it is for my eyes see beyond
This is the journey, the gift I receive from life.
Now the waves bath softly my walking feet
And the pebbles guess my next step before I take it
The insurmountable mountains move at my wish
Join the clouds above and solve quietly in the deep blue
The sun sits by my side
East and west mingle before our eyes
And with a single touch of our hands we stop time, again and again.
Now my arms have the shape of all the moving things
The sea breeze, the bird wings, the dancing flowers
The musical waves, the cloud boats sailing
Now my feet are walking thoughts
They take me everywhere I belong
The sun in my nights, the moon in my days
Heart and eyes behold and share the same reality.
Nature is in my nature
Animal-plant-air-stone with infinite eyes
I share the material spirit of the cycles
The elements, the living beings
I feel pieces of me, one and all at the same time
Growing from the ground with pure love
Flying across the sky in untamable freedom
I’m the wholeness in my fragile nothingness.
I could spend my days
Speaking about the madness, the evil, the pain
In the world, in the minds, in the bloody caves of greed
Because it is infinite and real
But nature is in my nature
Light inhabits my soul
Life is my only gift
With light and life I blow the dark scenery
Until it’s bright and tangible and simple and natural
That’s my only gift
That’s my daily art
Create and recreate the light of life inside out…
