ANOTHER WORKING DAY

A WALK WITH THE MOON

My hands, my feet are tired
It was a long working day
In the Garden of Light

The last sunbeams of the day
Still shine in my eyes,
Drawing light-roses

The wind brings to me the mixed flavour
Of forest fruits and jasmine flowers
Then, he stands still for a while
Watching the roses in my eyes

My roses fall in his hands
And he believes in the deep reality
Of each petal of light

With a powerful blow
He sends my roses to the Moon
And my eyes moon-shine in the sky

From above, my eyes see you, see me
Our cadenced pace
The mingling of our souls
Our dance in the illuminated night

It's going to rain again
Tomorrow the jasmine flowers' scent
Will wake us up with tender caresses

And the drops in the pine trees' needles
Will fall gently on the ground
Like tears of light and joy

Let's taste the rain for a while
Red warm petals crown
Our mortal heads with eternal red velvet

Now, while our clothes dry by the fireplace
We follow our daily journey
Just breathing this moment from within...

Around us, the garden shines brighter
A whole cosmos with roots
Under our feet, above our eyes
The thorns in our hands
Are just sparkles of another working day...

SPECIES FOUND IN THE GARDEN OF LIGHT

(Fragments of a Taxonomy)

Lux alae / Wings of Light

Gigantic tree that grows spontaneously in any kind of ground or climate, as long as the roots are deep embedded in the gardener’s heart. Her long light arms allow her to fly, using also her aerial roots.

Pedes volantis / Flying feet

Vegetable shiny stones that point the way on the ground as stars do in the sky. They form beautiful ground constellations, some visible to the naked eye like the one of the Sunny Seagull.

Creatrix manus / Hands of Creation

Exquisite metamorphic plant made of moonbeams and sunbeams entangled in many varied ways, producing ever-changing shapes. The union of both lights forms luminous hands constantly moving. The range of colour is infinite, depending both of the plant mood and the eyes of the beholder.

Rosis lux / Light rose

Hybrid rare flower that blooms in any season. It's ageless by nature. Once is born remains the same forever. It's very hard to pluck or cut. The stems are very flexible; they bend, swing and curl but do not break. During the day, is almost invisible, only transparency and soft light. After sunset, her petals open, spread and shine as a night-sun.

Petalis verum / Petals of truth

Flying petals that travel through all the corners of the Garden of Light. Along the day, they gather several times in the shape of many different flowers or fruits. They dim and scatter if they hear a lie. And they become delicious fruits whenever they meet the lightness of truth.

Anima lux / Soul of light

Persistent wave of light with many tides. She walks and glides constantly across the garden illuminating every corner. She never sleeps and sings the most of the time. She plays all the music there is in Nature and dances like the waves of the ocean. For some reason, she's never alone. By her side are always a little bird and a tiny ant.

ACROSS THE SKY

ETHEREAL ROAD

No foreign skies above
No foreign ground below
The same universal body everywhere
The same soul with a thousand faces
Traveling clouds
Playing hide and seek
With the secrets of the land
In a tangible ethereal language
Old, natural and simple
Stained and smashed here and there
By the feet of metal giants
Polyglot eyes talking with life
Endless dialogue with beauty.

In the same glimpse
Ever-changing infinite worlds
Not all can be revealed to the eyes
The eyes are not enough
And the mystery of the distance remains
Transparency and obscurity
In the same glimpse the light and the shadow
In the same embrace to infinity
In each drop of time
Aging in my eyes
The flowing of days and nights
Sky and ground united in unbreakable mirrors.

What’s not real and pure won’t remain
Not even as an image
Not even as a shadow
Only the working hand’s salted sweat
And flashes of running sights
At the speed of sound
Before the stars shine again
And the new dawn, step by step
Starts the peaceful sky conquest
Ray by ray, the glorious painting
Arises and spreads over the ethereal home’s roof
In deep devotion, the eyes rejoice
And the mind opens all the doors and windows.

So many roads in the common path
Not a single wall in sight
Only warm velvet flying carpets
In the widest living room
And while I sit and watch the movie
I feel a well-known scent
Awakening my senses to the new morning
The newborn light unveils new pages
The limpid air awaits to be breathed
The scriptwriter is eager for new chapters
And the wonder-movie goes on
Rest for a while
In some quiet place
Touch the ground where the land joins the sea
Feel the earth smoothly
Giving shelter and wings to the tired feet

Across the sky I walked upon wandering clouds
On the ground I fly beneath and above the same clouds
No foreign skies above
No foreign ground below…
