Winter’s Song
Around my head your voice sounds
Old and new rhymes of time and seasons
Within you bring past and future tangled.
You knock on my door gently
Covered with your long veil of clouds
“You’re welcome”, I say
“If you accept to sit by the fireplace.
Warm your soul and rest your mantle on a chair
I’ll exchange my wine for your stories.”
Your colossal body resizes the space
As my inner space resizes you.
We’re the same size now, huge and tiny
Our thoughts can mingle and flow together.
By the fireplace you warm your soul
Your soul warms my wings within.
Your veil of clouds is melting
Leaving behind jewels of dew and shiny rainbows
Once again, again and again
The firebird arises from the eternal flames
Drinks the dew and spreads the rainbow.
From our chalices of life we drink
Wine and stories of all times
As we follow our endless journey side by side…
