The
Finite inside the Infinite
Look, look so far and so near
You can see deep within
The horizon beyond
The heart of the world
And your immense finitude.
You don’t need to imagine the Infinite to be infinite
It’s right here before your eyes and within your soul
One atom here one atom there, endless chain of links
The Finite is the first kingdom of imagination
What you see and feel is what you imagine and more.
If you fall along the way, that’s not unusual
To fall is the first step to rise and follow ahead
The dust that steals momentarily a shiny ray of your
will
Will soon reveal the strength of the fallen
Hear the rain that washes the path and clears the
horizon.
Look, look so far and so near
You can see deep within
The horizon beyond
The heart of the world
And your immense finitude.
You don’t need to know the secrets
Of time, light and the abyss.
You don’t need more fear
Than the natural fear and wonder of the unknown.
A part of you also belongs to the wonder and the
unknown.
You don’t need to know letter by letter
What science proclaimed yesterday
And denies today seeking tomorrow
The incomplete axiom of perpetual movement
The laws that failed to reveal the eternal unity between
matter and spirit.
Look, look so
far and so near
You can see deep within
The horizon beyond
The heart of the world
And your immense finitude.
Enigma by enigma, like flowers
Growing and withering in the same garden,
The truth of the days passes constantly by
In the air remains the perfume of infinite wisdom
In the soul a sense of renewed epiphany and mortality.
The finitude of all things
Is also the finitude of life and death.
If life is a constant change, follow the change.
In the tiniest glimpse of perfection and imperfection
Beauty reveals its bosom beyond all imagination.
Look, look so far and so near
You can see deep within
The horizon beyond
The heart of the world
And your immense finitude…
